This week it was to do a CAS (clean and simple), small card AND do a Monochromatic theme to it.
Hopefully mine counts for both (I'm not sure if my hint of extra color is Ok!) It was a lot of fun and I really need to keep at the CAS - it's nice to not worry about the extra layering!
Supplies: 3x3 whisper white notecard; whisper white and basic black cardstock; black & white gingham ribbon; black brads; black Staz-on ink; summer sun & rose red SU markers; Studio G stamps ($1 spot @ JoAnn's!)
Love the elegant but cute simplicity of this card. It's gorgeous. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty!!! I have to get to my CAS challenge as well - where do the hours go in a day??
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I always love black and white together.
ReplyDeleteLove the card! Must remember that cards don't have to be hugely embellished. Technical question: why use Staz-on ink?
ReplyDeleteHolly,

Oh I really love how this came out! The black and white is so elegant... fantastic card!!!
ReplyDeleteThat hint of color is just the finishing touch this card needed. What an elegant and modern wedding card, I really like it and know so many people whom it would suit so well. You nailed this!
ReplyDeleteThis is just beautiful! I love that stamp set! Who knew it was a dollar one?!! I would do horrible damage if I lived near any craft store! LOL
ReplyDeleteI really like black and white together - great way to meet the challenge. I still haven't done mine, maybe this week ;)
ReplyDelete"I DO" like your CAS card! The flowers really pop on a mono..card like this one. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done. I like the layout and that splash of color with the bride is just the right amount.
ReplyDeleteI love it Holly. It is perfect for the challenge and has an elegant look. Nice job. Can you say CASE :)
